Gov Nyako’s Wife Launches War against Injustice

The wife of Adamawa State Governor, Justice Binta Nyako, has launched a five point war against social injustice, which according to her is worse than HIV/AIDS.
Justice Binta Nyako, who launched the programme at the Women Development Centre, Yola recently, named the social injustice as girl child education, street hawking, rape, domestic violence and fight against human trafficking.
According to her, the fight became necessary because many families in various homes suffer in silence as a result of these social injustice and they have no means of seeking for justice.
Having set up a legal framework to handle the programme, she appealed to lawyers in the state to see the fight as their own by waiving legal fees for those who seek legal aid.
In order to make the programme functional, Justice Nyako has opened up a contact office at the Women Development Centre to counsel and take details of the affected people.
Governor Murtala Nyako, who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Barrister Bala James Nggilari, commended Justice Binta Nyako for initiating a fight to protect the down trodden against social injustice.
The governor, who expressed government’s support to the programme, appealed to lawyers in the state to support the programme to succeed.
He used the occasion to donate an 18 seater bus to the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) in the state.
